Description
Inspired by In the Presence of Ancestors, the Shoreline Trail House Posts honour the original caretakers of the lands and waters. Join Tasha Faye Evans as she takes us on a walk around the Inlet with teachings and reflections on the project, each of the five House Posts and the Indigenous carvers whose creations remind us of our shared responsibility for protecting the Inlet.
Participants will meet at the Rocky Point Park Pier entrance and the walk will conclude at Old Orchard Park. This is a six-kilometre route along the shoreline trail and is considered an easy walk; however, please be prepared for uneven ground and sections with stairs. As the walk will take place rain or shine, participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.
