School Age Level 1

For ages 5-12 years. The benefits of this program include smaller class sizes and increased attention. The 60 minute program begins with a short warm up, followed by progressive skill development. Skills: Skate width of ice without falling, 2-foot glides in a straight line and on a curve, introduction to snowplow stops, V-push/glide, backward skating, 1-foot glides and T-position of skates. Prerequisite: Polar Bears or some previous skating experience.
