Description
The National Lifeguard-Pool Option® award builds on the skills, knowledge and values that the Lifesaving Society teaches in its Canadian Swim Patrol, Junior Lifeguard Clubs and Bronze Medal awards to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards. NL-pool option trains lifeguards in safety supervision and rescue in a pool environment. Manual and candidate fees included.
100% attendance and participation required. Candidates are required to bring a pocket mask, whistle, and fanny pack (available for purchase at the front desk) and must show proof of completed Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid from any of the following agencies: Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, Heart and Stroke, Canadian Ski Patrol, St. John Ambulance.
