Description
Join Tri-Cities Rock! for their final performance at the Gathering Place in Port Coquitlam. Our fun and welcoming group includes singers at all levels, from people who have never sung in a choir before, to those who did it years ago, to those with some classical training. We focus on groove, feel, connection with each other, our audiences, and the songs. And FUN!
Pre-registration is required and admission is free, with optional donations welcomed for the local Food Bank on Wheels.
The choir is led by professional musician and music director, Scott Gould.
A bit about choir director, Scott Gould: "I've been singing in choirs almost my whole life, staring when I was 5 or 6. I started playing guitar and bass and writing songs in garage bands when I was 15. I went to music school when I was 19 and am a graduate of the UBC School of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree (yikes it sounds so serious!), where I studied guitar, voice, composition, and choral conducting, completing a 5th year in advanced conducting after my degree. I've had a long career in another field, raised a family, etc. I'm increasingly active as a singer-songwriter, composer, conductor, and music director."
