Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is excited to partner with the City of Pembroke to bring "Summer Science Camp!" to local youth. This four-day program, open to children ages 9–12, offers a fun and engaging introduction to a variety of scientific fields and projects. Participants will have a rare opportunity to explore Canada’s national nuclear laboratories, discovering exciting work in environmental science, health science, engineering, physics, computing, and more.
Each day will feature a mix of hands-on activities, interactive presentations, and outdoor exploration, and visits to the unique laboratories on the Chalk River campus! Bus transportation is provided from the Pembroke Memorial Centre (393 Pembroke Street West) to Chalk River Laboratories and back to the Arena at the end of each day. Children will be picked up promptly at 8:30 am from the PMC and returned by 4:00 pm.
Children will be required to wear comfortable clothing and bring with them their lunch, a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and a change of clothes. Additional documentation will be required and sent to guardians before camp proceeds.
