Description
Skills children will work on: skate width of ice, 2 foot glides touching toes on a curve, snowplow stop, backwards skating, backwards one foot lift, turn from backwards to forwards, walking cross cuts on a line, intro to backwards sculling, intro to backwards stopping. Note: Skate rentals are available for an extra fee payable at time of registration at Karen Magnussen and Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centres; helmet rentals are free of charge. Helmets are required for all lesson participants (adults and children) as per NVRC Policy.
