Description
Join NVRC artist in residence Mariana Frochtengarten, to explore the fundamentals of circular weaving using recycled CDs as looms. This accessible, hands-on activity invites participants of all ages and abilities to experience the meditative rhythm of weaving while experimenting with patterns and material. No previous experience is required. Participants may create a woven piece to take home and are welcome to continue weaving additional pieces to contribute to a collaborative community artwork. The collected weavings will form part of a larger installation created by the artist.
