Description
Inspired by traditional Japanese Shibori techniques, this welcoming, hands-on workshop invites participants of all ages and abilities to explore pattern-making through fabric dyeing. Using folding, wrapping, tying, and clamping methods, we will transform cloth into vibrant, textured designs.
No previous experience is needed. This adaptable and accessible process encourages creativity, curiosity, and shared learning. Participants will contribute to a collaborative community textile installation and take home their own hand-dyed bag. This workshop will be taught by NVRC artist in residence, Mariana Frochtengarten.
