Description
Older adults, families, and friends are welcome to create a symbolic time capsule that captures the spirit of the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place and the community today. Come help create a living snapshot of our community by sharing memories, traditions, advice, stories, and hopes for future generations. Participation opportunities include submitting pieces of art, small woodworking projects, as well as handwritten letters, photos, and memories from their time spent here at the centre. Through this collective act of storytelling, we celebrate the theme of One Community: Many Voices and the connections that bring us together. The capsule will remain locked for 50 years and is to be opened by the future programmers of the centre in 2076.
