Step up and make a difference! This one-week course empowers Leaders in Training (LITs) to develop essential leadership skills, while introducing them to the world of camps. Through fun, hands-on activities and real-life projects, LITs will learn about problem solving, professionalism, inclusion, communication and teamwork – core skills that will set them up for success at camp and beyond! They’ll also explore topics such as, conflict resolution, goal setting, action planning and leading younger campers. Throughout the week, Leaders in Training will work as a group to put on a Mini-Event for Town of Newmarket Camps to attend at the end of the week. There is no placement. Extended Care is available at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex.
