Are you interested in preparing to become a successful camp counsellor? In this course, you will learn about program planning, games and resources, behaviour management strategies and more. Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Safeguard, and HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Child Development certifications included. Certificates are only given to those who have 100% attendance and receive a passing grade during their final practical and written exams. This course includes a 2-week in class portion, followed by a volunteer placement for successful candidates at a Town of Newmarket Summer Camp. Placements will be coordinated on site with the Camp Director. Note: there are no prerequisites for this course. No Extended Care available for this camp. Camp will NOT run on Wed. July 1st (Canada Day).
