Description
Bronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water. Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for assistant lifeguard course training in Bronze Cross. Manual and pocket mask are included in the cost of the course. 100% attendance is mandatory. This program is not eligible for City subsidy.
Prerequisites: Candidates must be 13 years of age or older & swim at a CGP level 11 ability or Star Patrol (Swim for lIfe level 9) recommended.
