Description
Contemporary dance is a modern style of dance that combines elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, while encouraging freedom of expression and creativity. It focuses on fluid movement, versatility, and emotional storytelling through the use of gravity, floor work, and natural body movements to convey ideas, feelings, or abstract concepts. Previous dance experience in either ballet, jazz or modern is required. All participants perform in an end-of-year recital show at the Living Arts Centre in May. Additional information about the Recital Dance Program will be provided during the first class. All Recital Dancers will need to register for the Recital Dance Enrollment Program before registering for Recital Dance classes. Please add 156687 as the FIRST program in your cart before adding any Recital Dance class. The enrollment fee will provide you with a digital version of the filmed show.
