Description
Prerequisties: Participants must have a
Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid certification to register for this course. Standard First Aid CPR C must not be expired (3 years from the original certification date). If more than 3 years, participant MUST take a full two-day course in accordance with the Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) rules. The Ontario Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) specifies that Standard First Aid (SFA) award holders may recertify just once on a SFA recertification course. To renew a SFA certification subsequently, WSIB requires you to repeat the full course. Thereafter, you may renew by alternating recertifications and original courses.
Materials: Canadian First Aid Manual. Course Length: 8 hrs.
Proof of Identity: Lifesaving Society requires all candidates taking this course—whether for the first time or as a recertification—to verify their identity on the first day.
To support one's identity, the identification must:
- Be valid (current)
- Include your name and date of birth
- Be issued by a federal, provincial, territorial or state government authority, or equivalent
Acceptable forms of ID can include:
- Driver's license
- Health Card
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Permanent Resident (PR) Card
- Canadian Citizenship Card
- Certificate of Indian Status
- Ontario Photo Card
Please remember to bring proof of your prerequisite certifications and valid photo identification on the first day of the course. Unfortunately, without these documents, you won’t be able to continue in the course.
