Description

For those interested in evaluating the safety operational standards for aquatic facilities, this 12-hour certification provides a strong understanding of the regulations, protocols and guidelines that apply to the operation of aquatic facilities. Required reference materials include: Guide to Ontario Public Pools Regulation, Guide to Ontario Public Spas Regulation, Waterfront Safety Guidelines, Wading Pool Guidelines, Aquatic Safety Inspector Workbook. Proof of Identity: Lifesaving Society requires all candidates taking this course—whether for the first time or as a recertification—to verify their identity on the first day.

To support one's identity, the identification must:
  • Be valid (current)
  • Include your name and date of birth
  • Be issued by a federal, provincial, territorial or state government authority, or equivalent
Acceptable forms of ID can include:
  • Driver's license
  • Health Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport
  • Permanent Resident (PR) Card
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • Certificate of Indian Status
  • Ontario Photo Card

Please remember to bring proof of your prerequisite certifications and valid photo identification on the first day of the course. Unfortunately, without these documents, you won’t be able to continue in the course.
