Description
Enrollment in this program requires skaters to have successfully completed all levels of the Junior Skating Program (up to level 8). The Intermediate Skating Program focuses on developing skills that demand strong efficiency and proficiency in backward skating and crossovers. If completion of all Junior skating levels cannot be confirmed, the Lead Coach will conduct a skills assessment. Should the assessment determine that the skater has not yet mastered the required skills, they will be directed to register in the Junior or Teen Skating Program. A CSA-approved hockey helmet is mandatory for all participants. Skaters work on edges, turns, and crossovers and may use either figure skates or hockey skates. Returning skaters are asked to bring their progress card on the first day of class.
