Description

The Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Award must be recertified every two years, participants must bring proof of National Lifeguard certification. Candidates will be evaluated on the revised NL standards. There will NOT be time to practice during the recert. For more information please contact the pool directly. Course Length: 6 hrs.

Proof of Identity: Lifesaving Society requires all candidates taking this course—whether for the first time or as a recertification—to verify their identity on the first day.

To support one's identity, the identification must:

  • Be valid (current)
  • Include your name and date of birth
  • Be issued by a federal, provincial, territorial or state government authority, or equivalent

Acceptable forms of ID can include:

  • Driver's license
  • Health Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport
  • Permanent Resident (PR) Card
  • Canadian Citizenship Card
  • Certificate of Indian Status
  • Ontario Photo Card

Please remember to bring proof of your prerequisite certifications and valid photo identification on the first day of the course. Unfortunately, without these documents, you won’t be able to continue in the course.
