Description

This program provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid , CPR and AED. Standard First Aid incorporates all of Emergency First Aid and is designed for those who require a more in-depth understanding of first aid including: legal implications of first aid treatment, spinal injuries, heat and cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns and medical emergencies. Mandatory manual (Canadian First Aid Manual) is required and can be purchased at a community centre. Course Length: 16 hrs.

Proof of Identity: Lifesaving Society requires all candidates taking this course—whether for the first time or as a recertification—to verify their identity on the first day.

To support one's identity, the identification must:

Be valid (current)
Include your name and date of birth
Be issued by a federal, provincial, territorial or state government authority, or equivalent

Acceptable forms of ID can include:

Driver's license
Health Card
Birth Certificate
Passport
Permanent Resident (PR) Card
Canadian Citizenship Card
Certificate of Indian Status
Ontario Photo Card

Please remember to bring proof of your prerequisite certifications and valid photo identification on the first day of the course. Unfortunately, without these documents, you won’t be able to continue in the course.
