Come hear from York Region and learn about resources and supports available to seniors and caregivers.
This session will provide highlights from the 2024 to 2027 York Region Plan to Support Seniors: Navigating Forward Together. The Plan focuses on helping seniors “age in the right place” for their preferences, circumstances and care needs by enhancing health, social care, and community supports. The session will then spotlight York Region Transit options, including Mobility On-Request, available to seniors that can help promote independence, access to services, and social connection. Together, these initiatives reflect the Region’s commitment to fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive environments for residents of all ages, including seniors.
