If you register before getting this approval, you will be withdrawn. Healthy Living and Aquatic Activities, Grade 10 Open (PAQ2O1) is a hybrid Healthy Active Living Education course that includes in pool and in class instruction at the Milliken Mills Community Centre Pool in collaboration with the City of Markham. It also includes an online component where students receive online course instruction, communicate with their teacher and work on course assignments. Successful students will receive the Lifesaving Society’s Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and Intermediate First Aid (formally Standard First Aid) with CPR-C Certifications are embedded in the Ontario Curriculum. Note: Registration for Aquatic Leadership is now open. Please note: Candidates must first register with the York Region District School Board before registering for this course. The YRDSB will forward registration information to the Aquatics department to then be registered. Prerequisites: Students must be 13 years of age or older, be able to swim 400 meters and eligible for high school credits.
