Description
The Lifesaving Club of Markham's goal is to help promote a healthy and active lifestyle for swimmers of all ages as well as building Lifesavers for Life. This program is designed to introduce a structured workout and Lifesaving Sport for swimmers aged 30+. Each practice will consist of a swim workout with an emphasis on improving stroke technique in Front Crawl, Back Crawl and Breaststroke while increasing overall endurance. Masters Athletes will also be introduced to Lifesaving Sport which involves skills adapted from real-life Lifesaving Skills. This is suitable for Masters Athletes of different skills levels, a tryout is required to determined skill level and suitability of the program. Swimmers must be able to swim 100 meters of both Front Crawl and Back Crawl and be comfortable in deep water without assistance for an extended period of time.
