Description
The Lifesaving Society Assistant Instructor Course prepares candidates to help certified instructors with swimming and lifesaving classes. Candidates are introduced to key principles of learning and teaching, and master basic progressions. The Assistant Instructor course emphasizes the roles and responsibilities of instructors and their assistants. The course incorporates the City of Markham Volunteer Orientation Workshop. This is an excellent stepping stone for candidates who hold a current Bronze Cross Award and who are working towards becoming a Swim Instructor. Prerequisites: Bronze Cross and 14 years of age.
