Description
This course is the next step for guitarists who are already familiar with common open chords and basic strumming. You’ll explore more advanced strumming patterns including “bouncing bass” techniques for added rhythm and texture. You’ll also begin learning simple fingerpicking patterns to develop right-hand control and add musical colour. Music theory will include chord progressions and why certain chords sound good together. There will be opportunities to work on songs of your choosing, with a focus on playing more confidently with others.
