NEW! Handmade Book: Assemble and Paint an Accordion Book

This class combines book making and painting to create a unique three-dimensional art object. We'll make our own book cloth with fabric, paper and flour paste, then use it to cover the outside of our accordion book. For the inside pages, we'll practice several different painting approaches using watercolour, gouache, and mixed media such as watercolour pencils, oil pastels, tissue paper, and markers. Finally, we'll learn how to make accordion folds with watercolour paper and attach the paper to the book covers to complete the project. Come and make one of these special books for yourself.
