Description
Get ready to learn to race in this program geared towards 6–12-year-olds who are looking for a fun, team-oriented challenge outside regular swimming lessons. Participants will train with their team each week, completing drills, improving their strokes, and challenging their personal bests.
Level Focuses On:
-Front crawl, Back crawl & Breaststroke
-Endurance training
-Race training, and teambuilding
Summer Swim Meet Details:
Thursday August 27th from 4:15pm-5:15pm at the Breithaupt Centre (350 Margaret Ave, Kitchener), participants will compete in a swim meet against teams from the other City of Kitchener pools where they will participate in races which challenge their own personal bests in addition to cheering on their team. A team swim cap with be provided to each participant for the meet (included in program cost).
Prerequisites: Participants must have successfully completed Child 4 or be able to complete the City of Kitchener's swim admission test to participate. Prerequisites will be assessed by the instructor on the first day of the program.
