Description
A dance class is heavily influenced by drag performance and is exclusively offered to 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Put on as a collaboration between the City of Kitchener and Spectrum. over the sessions, participants will be instructed and coached by Eli Hill, also known as his drag person Oliver D. Spectrum. Each week will include strength conditioning, technique building, learning and rehearsing choreography for the end of term showcase. The showcase theme will be Pretty and Punk. Each class will learn 2 routines; 1 routine that leans into pretty and 1 routine that leans into punk. The students will get to perform these routines on stage for their loved ones. The showcase will be held on the evening of June 9th. Please make sure you are available for this date before enrolling. There will also be an optional dress rehearsal on the evening of June 3rd.
