The Examiner course is the first step in the three-step process to be appointed as an Examiner for the Lifesaving Society. The candidate will apprentice under an Examiner Mentor in one or more of the exam streams. Examiner candidates must have teaching experience: they must have taught or co-taught at least one course in the stream(s) in which they are seeking certification as an examiner. Required manuals for purchase: Examiner Handbook. Award guide(s) for each certification the candidate wishes to examine (e.g., candidates wishing to become a Bronze Examiner must have the Bronze Medal Award Guide, or candidates wishing to become a First Aid Examiner must have the First Aid Award Guide).
