Sunday Funday Fitness Series
The Sunday Funday Fitness Series is a rotating fitness program running on select Sunday afternoons, offering four different styles of classes throughout the program. This series is designed to give participants the opportunity to try a variety of workouts and discover the type of fitness they’re most passionate about, all in a flexible and welcoming format.
Each session features a different class style, ranging from recovery-focused movement to high-energy cardio and strength training. This makes Sunday Funday a great option for those looking to change up their routine, try something new, or stay active through the winter months without committing to a single format.
Dates & Class Details
January 4 & February 1
Restore and Relax with Sharron
Hit the reset button and slow things down with this gentle, slow-paced yoga class. Restore and Relax focuses on warming the body, connecting with the breath, and spending extended time stretching to improve flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. Once the body temperature has been elevated, movements are introduced to support greater strength, mobility, and overall flexibility. This class is ideal for recovery, relaxation, and mindful movement.
January 11 & February 8
The Beat Drop with Kim
Feel the rhythm and own the beat in this energetic fusion of spin, step, and cardio drumming. The Beat Drop delivers a full-body workout set to rock and electronic music, combining riding, stepping, and striking movements choreographed to motivating tracks. No dance or drumming experience is required—just bring your energy and get ready for a fun, high-energy workout.
January 18 & February 22
HIIT it Hard! with Michelle
A dynamic, full-body HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout that blends strength and cardio to improve endurance, metabolism, and overall fitness. This class uses compound exercises with dumbbells and resistance bands and follows structured work-and-rest intervals. Each session includes a proper warm-up and cool-down for a balanced, time-efficient workout.
January 25 & February 15
Zumba Rush with Karthika
Feel the rush as you groove through 50 minutes of high-energy Zumba. This fast-paced class combines nonstop beats, cardio-focused movement, and full-body engagement to get your heart pumping and your body moving. Expect a fun, sweat-filled workout that feels more like a dance party than a traditional fitness class.

Registration
Participants may register online for the full program block up until the start of the program.
Single-class registrations and drop-ins must be completed in person through the Recreation Centre Front Desk.
Pricing
Members (3-, 6-, or 12-month memberships): Free
Non-members: $7 per class when registering for the full block (discounted) or regular drop-in rate
Group Fitness Packages: Accepted
All participants are required to check in at the Front Desk prior to class.
