Description
Children age 6 - 12 learn how to be safe around water and increase swimming ability, fitness and endurance through fun activities. Children MUST be 6 years of age on the FIRST day of lessons.
Swimmers will learn to:
1) Enter/Exit shallow water
2) Jump in to chest deep water
3) Jump in to deep water wearing a PFD
4) Tread water for 30 secs wearing a PFD
5) Submerge and exhale under water 5 times
6) Open eyes under water
7) Float on front and back in a relaxed manner for 5 seconds
8) Roll laterally front to back and back to front
9) Glide on front, back and side for 3m in a relaxed manner
10) Flutter kick on front and back for 5m in a relaxed manner
11) Front crawl for 5m wearing a PFD
