Description
The Town of Innisfil is undertaking the development and implementation of a Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre (M-SALC) pilot program to respond to an evolving and increasingly active older adult demographic through programming critical to healthy aging and mental well-being.
The M-SALC provides programs critical to optimizing physical and mental health of seniors for healthy active aging town-wide via a mobile delivery method. Initiating the pilot program first, provides town staff with ability and to collect feedback/information to verify success of all project aspects to ensure the needs of seniors are met and the program will achieve long-term sustainability in a fiscally responsible manner.
The M-SALC will travel within Innisfil Communities and provide recreational programming and social opportunities for the Actively Aging population.
M-SALC is funded in part by the Government of Ontario’s Seniors Community Grant Programs.
Pre-Registration not required. This is a drop in program. Participants can drop in anytime during the program hours.
