Users must respect fellow skaters and all rules outlined on this page. Please report all accidents or injuries to the on-site supervisor immediately.
We highly recommend that all skaters wear a CSA - approved helmet during all skating sessions.
Skaters must skate at a sensible and safe speed, in the same direction as other skaters.
The middle of the ice surface is reserved for less confident skaters.
Users of Town-owned facilities are personally responsible for ensuring that they are fit to participate in physical activities. Anyone with a condition affecting their ability to participate must take appropriate safety precautions to ensure their own safety. They are encouraged to be accompanied by an adult who is knowledgeable about the condition.
Users must be wearing skates to be permitted on the ice surface.
All users must adhere to the following rules of conduct:
No headsets, cell phones, or handheld electronic devices are to be used while skating.
No food and/or drinks are permitted on the ice. They must be enjoyed off the ice.
Foul language or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate removal from the facility.
No games, such as tag, rough-play, horseplay or speed-skating are allowed. They pose a danger to other users.
No figure skating is permitted during Public Skating.
Users must skate in the same direction as all other skaters.
Users must conduct themselves appropriately at all times.
