Description
The swim for life course teaches candidates how to properly safely instruct and evaluate students in swim strokes and beginner lifesaving skills. During this program candidates are taught different teaching strategies, correction techniques and specific drills tailored to each skill. After successful completion of this course candidates will be qualified to teach swimming lessons to children ages 0-12. Full course participant is required.
Prerequisites: Bronze Cross, intermediate workplace first aid and 15 years old by the end of the course.
Co teaching portion of the course will be completed April 20th to 25th, participants are required to attend at least 3/5 lesson blocks to pass the course.
