Description
The Swim For Life course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate swim strokes and lifesaving skills. Through classroom learning and in-water practice, instructor candidates explore proven teaching methods, learning strategies and activities, a variety of stroke and skill drills, effective correction techniques, and evaluation criteria. Practice teaching is emphasized throughout. Candidates learn to evaluate participants in Swim for Life and Swim Patrol program. Due to the nature of these courses,100% attendance is required for certification. Please note that completing Bronze Cross is a prerequisite for enrolling in this course.
