Description

Felting is the ancient craft of creating a dense fabric by matting, condensing, and pressing natural fibers (like wool) together using agitation, moisture, and heat, which causes the fibers' scales to interlock; this can be done manually with soap and water (wet felting) or by repeatedly stabbing wool with a special barbed needle (needle felting) to sculpt it into 2D or 3D objects.
