Description
Led by 3rd Degree Black Belt Sensei Heather MacDonald, our Para-Karate program will introduce basic karate techniques for participants with intellectual exceptionalities. This will be an unparented/unsupported program open to those ages 8 and up. This will be an introduction to karate class, with the eventual goal being to have the participants join the All-Ranks age-appropriate class at the Canada Games Centre. Additional fees for uniforms will be the responsibility of participants. Gi’s can be purchased through Sensei Heather on the first day, if necessary, at a cost of $70-$85.
Karate participants are required to pay a one-time nonrefundable annual fee of $40.00 to Karate Nova Scotia that covers September 2025-August 2026.
