Description

Private swimming lessons provide one-on-one instruction with a certified swim instructor. These lessons help children develop swimming skills at their own pace, with personalized feedback and focused support. Instruction may include skill development, stroke improvement, technique correction and confidence building. Available for Preschool 1 to Swimmer 6 levels. Participants must be 3 years of age and older. Private Lessons are not available for Parent and Tot programs or for advanced Lifesaving Society courses, including Rookie Patrol, Bronze Medallion, National Lifeguard or instructor-level programs. If you require additional support or believe your situation may need special consideration, contact the pool directly to discuss alternative options. Upon registration, you will need to complete a short questionnaire to provide details about your needs for your lesson. Note: Preferences are not guaranteed and depend on instructor availability, experience and language abilities (instructors may not be bilingual). Lessons are 30 minutes, once per week, for the duration of the session block. The Accessibility Support option is intended for swimmers who require individualized instruction, environmental adjustments, or additional supports to participate safely and successfully. Instructors will work collaboratively with families to support each swimmer’s progress. Where appropriate, staff may recommend transitioning to group lessons if the swimmer’s accessibility needs can be fully supported in that setting. Lessons may be cancelled if safety concerns arise that cannot be reasonably accommodated within program guidelines.
