BC Culture Days Launch Event

The City of Delta is excited to host the launch event for BC Culture Days this year at Hawthorne Grove Park in Ladner.  The event features music, art, and performances celebrating culture in Delta. Heritage building, Kirkland House will be open to explore and community partners such as Delta Heritage Society, Delta Choral Society, and the Boundary Bay Quilters will share their stories and activities with visitors. A Launch Event program passport encourages all ages to try the fun on offer in Harris Barn, Kirkland House, and throughout the park grounds. Visitors have the opportunity to vote for their favourite artwork from the Culture Days art competition, write letters for the Community Elements Chest from Honouring Our Grandmothers Healing Journey, and learn about the local Delta artists behind the Community Banner Program while enjoying the banners on display. A variety of other activities will be on offer including facepainting, henna, and button making.
