Description
Celebrate Bat week by building a bat box! Participants will work in teams to build a multi-chambered bat home that will later be installed in a city park or on farmland. The event will start with a one-hour introductory presentation and question period about local bats and the importance of bat boxes. After a short break, participants will then be guided through building a bat box. Groups will consist of 2-6 people with minimum of 2 people per box, aged 10yrs or older. All supplies are included. Power tools will be used. Snack and refreshments will also be served.
Reminder: bat boxes will not be going home with participants as they will be installed in a park/farmland.
Delta's Sustainable Workshops are free but a no-show charge has been added to this program. You will be refunded after you have attended the workshop. If your group does not attend, you will not be refunded.
One week’s notice for full refund must be provided. If less than one week’s notice is given, 50% of the fee will be refunded. If notice is given on the start date of the program, no refund will be provided.
