Description
Make Your Move is a movement based class that teaches young dancers how to create their own choreography from pure inspiration. Students explore how ideas, images, music, and emotions can spark original movement, and they learn simple tools for shaping those ideas into full pieces.
Each session includes guided exercises that introduce the fundamentals of movement exploration, composition, and creative decision making. Students experiment with tempo, shape, space, and storytelling while discovering their own unique movement voice. The class is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and trust in their instincts.
This session is especially supportive for young dancers who feel stuck, shy, or unsure of their ideas. The environment is playful, encouraging, and focused on helping students move past the biggest challenge performers face: getting out of their own way.
By the end of the session, each student will have gained an understanding of the skills required to choreograph with freedom and confidence.
