Description
This two-hour introductory workshop teaches young performers the fundamentals of stage combat with a strong emphasis on safety, control, and communication. Participants will learn how to create the illusion of fighting while keeping themselves and their partners safe at all times.
Through guided exercises and choreographed sequences, students will be introduced to basic unarmed stage combat techniques such as spacing, targeting, reactions, and non-contact strikes. The session prioritizes consent, trust, and awareness, helping participants understand how to work responsibly with others while performing physical storytelling.
No prior experience is required. All movement is carefully supervised, age-appropriate, and designed to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. By the end of the workshop, students will have gained tools to approach physical performance with discipline, respect, and care.
Refund Policy: A prorated refund is available for any withdrawals prior to the start of the 3rd class. Once the 3rd class starts, no refund will be provided.
