Adult Learn to Skate Program (8 Week Foundation Program)
This program is designed for adults who are new to skating as well as those who want to build on their existing skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Whether you’re stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to gain more confidence and control, this program offers instruction tailored to your level.
Participants will learn and practice fundamental skating skills such as balance, forward and backward skating, stopping, and basic turns. Skaters with some experience will continue to develop stronger technique, including edge work, crossovers, and overall skating efficiency.
Led by a professional figure skating coach, each session emphasizes skill development, safety, and personal progress at a comfortable pace. The program focuses on building confidence, coordination, and a lifelong enjoyment of skating.
What You’ll Learn
Over eight progressive sessions, participants will develop:
• Proper skating stance and posture
• Balance and edge awareness
• Forward stride and glide mechanics
• Controlled stopping techniques
• Turns and edge control
• Introductory crossovers
• Backward skating fundamentals
