Description
Swim to Survive® Camp teaches children the essential self-rescue skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water. Developed by the Lifesaving Society, this camp combines a 45-minute swimming lesson with focused instruction on three critical survival skills:
- Roll into Deep Water – Simulate an unexpected fall and learn to orientate yourself at the surface
- Tread Water for 1 Minute – Stay afloat long enough to locate the nearest point of safety
- Swim 50 Metres – Reach safety under your own power
Swimming is a fundamental life skill, yet the Lifesaving Society estimates that half of Canadian children never take swimming lessons. Swim to Survive® Camp gives every child the practical, potentially life-saving skills they need to stay safe in and around the water.
Note: There will be no swim lesson evaluations/report cards included with this program.
