Calling all doggie swimmers for one last splash of the season!
Treat your four-legged friend to a session of fun at Paws in the Pool at Orono Park Pool before we close for the season. Whether your pup is a seasoned swimmer, a first-time paddler, or simply loves making a splash, this tail-wagging event is sure to be a memorable experience.
Best of all, every session supports a great cause. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Clarington Animal Shelter, helping them continue their amazing work caring for animals in our community.
Program Details:
- Please register under the pet parent name, not the dog's name.
- Stairs will be installed at Orono Park Pool for dogs to enter and exit the pool.
- Proof of rabies vaccination is required prior to entry. No admittance without this proof. This can be sent to swim@clarington.net or provided on the day of the event.
- Dogs are to be friendly with other dogs and people.
- Dogs must be always leashed while on the Orono Park property.
- Only dogs may swim in the pool.
- An adult aged 18 or older must accompany the dog and watch from the side of the pool.
- One adult can bring a maximum of 2 dogs.
- Spectators are welcome, but must remain outside the pool deck fence area.
- Lifejackets are not mandatory, but encouraged
- Please do not bring toys to throw in the pool.
