Keynote Topic
Exploring the Caregiving Journey: An Introduction to the Ontario Caregiver Organization

Most of us, at some point in our lives, will be a caregiver to someone close to us - whether it's taking them to appointments, checking in regularly, or helping with daily tasks. While you may not necessarily see yourself as a ‘caregiver’, you truly are providing vital care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This presentation is a chance to explore the caregiving journey, recognize the important role you play, and learn about our free programs, services and resources that are available to help support you.

Emily Ayenew is the Regional Lead for Western Ontario and is responsible for building connections and sharing the programs and resources that The Ontario Caregiver Organization provides to caregivers across the province. Emily's background includes care navigation, social service work, research, and socialization of older adults. Emily is passionate about community engagement and looks forward to sharing the resources and programs that OCO provides to help increase the number of caregivers served across Ontario.
