This course examines the pivotal early career of Elvis Presley, focusing on his relationship with Sam Phillips, his collaboration with Scotty Moore and Bill Black, the formation of his management team, and the release of his first five recordings. Participants will also be introduced to Colonel Tom Parker and his emerging role in shaping Elvis’s career.
