Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert star in this excellent romantic comedy. Colbert plays a pampered socialite. She secretly marries a pilot whom her father believes is only interested in her money. When he tries to arrange an annulment, she escapes form his yacht and attempts to reunite with her husband. Her flight attracts tremendous newspaper attention. A cynical reporter (Gable), who needs a major story to save his career, finds her on riding a bus heading to New York City. Adversaries at first, the twosome become companions by necessity. Replete with many amusing scenes, the film won five Oscars, including Best Picture. (Length: 105 minutes)
