This wonderful and amusing adventure film is set in German East Africa in August 1914 just as the First World War erupts. A British Methodist mission is destroyed. The prim missionary (Katharine Hepburn) seeks revenge on the Germans with the help of a crusty Canadian pilot of a small steamboat (Humphrey Bogart). Together they plot to sink an enormous German ship! Bogart won his only Oscar for his portrayal of Charlie Allnutt. (Length: 105 minutes)
