Description

Blacksmiths, unlike other artisans, made their own tools. In this course, students are introduced to the basics of working with tool steel. They forge a cold or hot chisel, then use a file and grinder to finish shaping their tool. Finally, the chisel is quench-hardened and tempered. Steel-toed boots recommended.

This Level 2 workshop is considered an intermediate blacksmithing course. Students without previous forging experience must successfully complete a Level 1 course before taking this program.

Online registration is not available for this course. To register please call 604-297-4565.

Cancellations within 48 hours of the start of the course will not be issued a refund.
