Description
In this three-part course students will use both the forge and a gas torch to create objects of copper and iron. Projects include a metal rose with iron stem and copper petals, a ladle with an iron handle and copper bowl, and experimentation with stamping designs into forms cut from copper sheets. While there is no prerequisite for this course, a minimum amount of hand coordination is required for success. Steel-toed boots recommended.
Please note that attendance in the first session of this multi-part course is mandatory to receive the shop safety overview.
This Level 1 workshop is considered an introductory blacksmithing course. Successful completion of the course fulfills the prerequisite for taking BVM's Level 2 courses.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the start of the course will not be issued a refund.
