Description
This is a satellite program operated by the ceramics staff at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, City of Burnaby's internationally renown ceramic arts facility. Try pottery in a purpose-built clay studio! You will learn several foundational handbuilding methods such as slabs, coils and pinching to create functional and sculptural works. You will also learn surface decoration techniques using underglaze. Clay and supplies included in course fee. No class May 18. Instructor: Allysha Hurd
Please note that participants will be eligible to register for Ceramics: Open Workshop for Current Students on Tuesdays from 1-3pm to practice their skills outside of regular class time. The instructor will share Open Workshop registration details during the first class.
